Tell us a little bit about yourself and why you became an artist.
I always liked art as a kid and all through school I doodled in the margins of my school books but when it came time to choose something to do after school I decided to study finance at uni and then I got a job working in the finance industry, I did that for about 10 years until I realised it wasnt what I should be doing with my life.

It was then that I decided to get more serious with making art so I started a blog and shared my art online and got involved with the art scene in Sydney exhibiting in art shows, painting murals and going to markets selling clothing decorated with my art.

I got onto a nice roll and a few years later I was able to become a full time artist. Loving it!

What was your main source of inspiration when you created the art for product?
I wanted to capture the essence of summer and the playfulness that abounds on summer days, whether that is going to the beach or skateboarding with friends or having a pool party.

Summer is my favourite time of year so it was a pleasure to dream up a bunch of funky summer characters.

What is your favorite swing tag character and why?
It's hard to choose but Pearl the BMX Unicorn is pretty radical - what's not to love about a unicorn popping a mono on a BMX! I named her after my daughter so that makes it extra spesh.

What is the best part about your job?
I love that I get to draw pictures and be creative for my job. Every project is different so it never gets boring. One day I might be painting a mural at the beach and the next day I could be at home doing some designs to go on skateboards. Getting to travel is a pretty cool aspect as well and even better when I get to take the fam with me!

And tell us why you decided to work with Cotton On Kids!
My kids often rock Cotton On Kids clothes so now they can rock them with dad's art on them, woo! Does that make me a cool dad?
